The employment and labour market statistics system (PLASTA) is an essential tool for regional employment centres. It makes it possible to process jobseekers' data, to follow up their files, to consult the current labour market offer and to manage and place labour market measures. In addition, this tool can be used to generate statistics from the data entered and the cantonal authorities use it to deal with partial unemployment and compensation in the event of bad weather. The progressive modernisation of the user interface, carried out in cooperation with the unemployment insurance implementing partners and the new strategic development company Adesso Schweiz AS, should be introduced in five implementation stages in the spring of 2022. The present system will be available until the upgrade has been completed. It will be deactivated as soon as the updated system is stable and fully functional.
Key improvements
The new PLASTA interface will be simple and user-friendly. Features include a more intuitive menu, adaptive design and a fast search function. Together, they will add value for employment centres. Along with other features, these functions will enhance efficiency and allow day-to-day work to be performed with a few clicks.
