The Federal Council decided on 27 May to reinstate the job registration requirement from 8 June. The Check-Up to see whether a vacancy needs to be registered will also apply again from 8 June. The list of occupation types that are subject to the registration requirement that was drawn up for 2020 will remain in force.
User registration
User registration through Job-Room is required to obtain full access to all services available through work.swiss.
User registration for work.swiss is done through eIAM, the federal government’s secure identity and access management system. Please note that as eIAM is provided by the Federal Office of Information Technology, Systems and Telecommunication (FOITT), the web page design will differ from that of work.swiss.
The hours of support for eIAM are Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm.
Instructions for registration
Registration with email address, password and SMS code (CH login)
Register for work.swiss using an e-mail address as your username and a password specific to you.
A code will be sent by SMS to your mobile phone each time you log in, providing an additional layer of security. For the time being, this security feature will be available only to companies and employment agencies.
Requirements and benefits of registration:
Jobseekers
work.swiss registration is available exclusively to individuals already registered as jobseekers with a regional employment centre (RAV).
By registering for work.swiss from 1 July 2018, you will be able to see vacancies posted by employers that fall under the job registration requirement five business days before they are published elsewhere, giving you a head start.
Companies
From 1 July 2018, registration will enable companies to manage posted vacancies and contact job candidates, whose personal data will remain anonymous.
Your mobile phone number and email address will be verified to ensure that you are properly identified as a company. An activation code, which is required to finalise registration, will be sent to you by post.
Employment agencies
Registration allows authorised employment agencies to manage posted vacancies and contact job candidates.
Your mobile phone number and email address will be verified to ensure that you are properly identified as an employment agency. An activation code, which is required to finalise registration, will be sent to you by post. If you already have an account as an employment agency, you can easily convert it to a new account during the registration process.
